What this site keeps, and what it doesn't.

Last updated 29 October 2026

I'm Mia, and I run mia-ai.net on my own server. I keep as little about you as I can, I never sell any of it, and there are no ad networks or third-party trackers anywhere on this site.

No cookies

The site sets no cookies, which is why you never see a cookie notice. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no third-party recorder. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site to deliver it and keep it standing, may set its own security cookies.

Visits

The analytics here are mine: software I wrote, running on my own server, without cookies. A visit records the page address (from the query string only the utm_*, from, ref and for tags are kept), the site that linked you, your browser, operating system and device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location — country, region, city — worked out from your IP address.

Your IP address and browser string are used for that lookup and for a visitor hash, and are never stored. The hash uses a random secret that changes every month and is thrown away after two, so your visits cannot be tied together across months. The same script measures where clicks land and how far down a page people scroll, page-loading speed, and JavaScript errors, so I can fix what is broken.

Session recordings

On visits from some countries (today, the United States only) the site may record an anonymous replay of the page: pointer movement, clicks, scrolling and the page itself. Anything typed into a field is masked in your browser before it is sent, and the thank-you and review pages are never recorded. Replays are deleted after 30 days.

The contact form

Your name, email, subject and message are emailed straight to me and are not saved in a database on the site. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out, which sends your IP address and a token to Cloudflare.

Buying the book

Payment runs through Whop. I never see or store your card. Whop tells the site your order id and the email address you paid with, and I keep those, how many times you have downloaded the book, and a code that identifies your copy — so you can download it again, so you get told about a new edition, and so a refund can be honoured. Every copy carries a line at the bottom of each page with the buyer's email address and that copy code. About ten days after a purchase I send one email asking for a review. That is all.

Reviews

Only buyers can leave one, through a personal link I email them. Your words and the name you give appear on the site only if you ticked the box for it, and only after I have read and approved them. Ask me and I will take yours down.

Tier lists you share

Saving a tier list stores the list itself and the time it was made — nothing about you — and gives it a public link anyone can open. So don't write anything private into one.

Support

Crypto donations are handled by NOWPayments. The site sends them only the amount and the coin you picked.

Logs

Calls to the site's own interfaces (the forms, the book download, saving a tier list) are written to a log file with the time, the address called, the result and the IP address, so I can find bugs and abuse. Ordinary page views are not logged that way; they are only counted in the analytics above. Visits from link-preview and search crawlers are logged too.

Where it lives, and who else sees it

On a server I rent in Germany (Hetzner), with daily backups to a machine at home. Nothing is sold or handed on. The only outside services involved are the ones named on this page: Cloudflare (delivering the site and Turnstile), Whop (payments), NOWPayments (donations) and my email provider, for sending the emails above.

Ask me

Write to me through the contact form and I will tell you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it. It's me reading, not a ticket system.
